The Dominican Golf Federation (FEDOGOLF) announced an upcoming amateur golf tournament, to be held November 3-10, 2013.
This year FEDEGOLF celebrated the same tournament, but for professionals with participants from 19 countries.
The tournament will be held at the Punta Espada Golf Course, in Cap Cana, on the country’s easternmost region. Also, at The Lakes Golf Course (Barceló Hotels); at the Hacienda-Arrecife and Corales Golf Course at the Puntacana Resort & Club).
Players from Argentina, Mexico, Peru, the United States, Venezuela, Colombia and Puerto Rico have confirmed their participation. FEDOGOLF said that some 250 players are expected to participate in the popular tournament.
The Federation began the DR Open in 2010 and three years later it was necessary to separate the professional from the amateur version due to the exponential growth of the participants.
